Payment and Registration of Swimming Lessons

All slots will be reserved for a period of 3 days upon indication of interest. Payment must be made within these 3 days in order to confirm the reserved slot. We hope that every customer will be happy and comply to our terms and conditions as they are measures set and given serious thought for a better and more seamless experiences both for the school as well as the students.

You may request a refund by informing us at least 7 days before the start of, or up to 7 days after your payment is made (whichever is earlier).

If the request for refund is made within less than 7 days upon the commencement of the first lesson, or after more than 7 days have elapsed from the payment date, the refund amount will only be 60%.

If the first lesson has commenced (regardless of attendance), there will strictly be no refund.

Upon confirmation, Friendly Dolphin will do collection of fees before the start of every 4 lessons. Electronic billing invoices will be sent every 4 lessons cycle whether lessons are done or not done. Payment made strictly via paynow or bank transfers only for record purposes. 

If the allocated coach is unable to conduct the lesson on that day, Friendly Dolphin has the right to cancel (with the fees not chargeable), postpone, or send a relief swimming instructor instead. Notice will be given earlier to student if unfortunately we have to send a relief swimming instructor.

Deposit of $70/pax will be collected on the first invoice before start of the swimming lessons.

To terminate the swimming lessons, do give a one month notice (4 Lessons in advance).

Deposit collected will be return back to the customers after making notice of 4 lessons in advance to termination of swimming lessons.

Deposit or forfeit ($70/pax) will be forfeited if 4 lessons notice was not given prior to termination of swimming lessons.

This guideline set forth making it fair for the school and the swimming instructors to make other arrangements for the same time slot upon release with earlier notice of at least 4 weeks .

Payments made 7 days after the invoice is sent will have a $25 late payment fee added to the invoice. Late Payments which are 30 days outstanding will result in cancelled registration – due payment will still have to be made fully with an additional $35 added into the invoice.

1. Swimming Lesson Details

Friendly Dolphin Swim School reserves the right to postpone the start date for up to 4 weeks if the class size does not meet the minimum requirement.

Friendly Dolphin may recommend a transfer of class dependent on the pace and progression of the student. The allocation is to facilitate and helps the student learn better with a suitable group.

Friendly Dolphin reserves the right to cancel, arrange for a replacement or postpone swimming lessons in situations which will affect the usage of the pools (e.g. bad weather, pool closure, etc)

For lessons conducted midway and started raining or lightning risk, lesson will continue and be done on land drill or Q&A session in a sheltered area.

Once lesson commence it will be considered as one lesson done even if customers do not wish to continue with land drill session or Q&A session.

The coaches have the right to do cancellation of classes with earlier notice of at least 1 hour or 60 minutes before the swimming lesson (lesson will not be charged) if the need arises.

Prior notice of 1 hour or 60 minutes in advance will have to be made known to the coach if suspected of raining or lightning risk, classes will be given a replacement notification ONLY in this scenario.

Parents are required to declare any medical conditions that the child has, and the school has the right to withdraw the child if they deem him / her unsuitable for lessons.

2. Medias and content publications

By attending the lessons, you agree to allow Friendly Dolphin to utilise all forms of media taken during our swimming lessons for marketing purposes.

Group Classes

1. Baby, Toddler and Kids Swimming Lessons

  • Students who are absent for the whole month will still be liable to pay for fees or risk their slots taken up
  • Lessons will be given replacement notification due to advance notice to raining, lightning risk and pool closure ONLY.
  • To be fair to our instructors conducting group swimming lessons. Lessons will be forfeited for any absence except bad weather or pool closure with advance notice of at least 60 minutes. Please refer to the swimming lesson details section above for more information.
  • To be fair to the customers, likewise there will be no charges for lessons cancelled by the school due to public holidays or lessons cancelled by swimming instructor. Lessons will be rescheduled (no charges) or be sent a relief swimming instructor (normal charges). Replacement classes will not be needed in this scenarios
  • No lessons during public holidays unless advised differently by the Instructor.
  • All 4 lessons have to be conducted by the end of the month or 35 days starting from every 1st of the month. For replacement classes given or entitled, should there be a failure to find suitable dates for replacement prior or upon the expiry, no refund shall be given.
  • Any outstanding lessons will be forfeited with no compensation
  • Chinese New Year Eve and 7 days of Chinese New Year will be considered as public holiday.
  • Friendly Dolphin reserves the right to cancel, arrange for a replacement or postpone swimming lessons in situations which will affect the usage of the pools (e.g. bad weather and pool closure only)
  • Schedule for make up lessons will be in favor of the instructor’s availability

2. Adult Swimming Lessons

  • Course is a total of 24 lessons
  • Student are to complete 24 lessons in 24 consecutive weeks (unless lesson cancelled by instructor or public holiday)
  • No lessons during public holidays unless advised differently by the Instructor.
  • Chinese New Year Eve and 7 days of Chinese New Year will be considered as public holiday.
  • Friendly Dolphin reserves the right to cancel, arrange for a replacement or postpone swimming lessons in situations which will affect the usage of the pools (e.g. bad weather and pool closure only)
  • To be fair to our instructors conducting group swimming lessons. Lessons will be forfeited for for any absence except bad weather or pool closure with advance notice of at least 60 minutes. Please refer to the swimming lesson details section above for more information.
  • To be fair to the customers, likewise there will be no charges for lessons cancelled by the school due to public holidays or lessons cancelled by swimming instructor. Lessons will be rescheduled (no charges) or be sent a relief swimming instructor (normal charges). Replacement classes will not be needed in this scenario.

Private Swimming Lessons (Individual Or Private-Formed Group Only)

All Age Group Swimming Lessons 

  • To be fair to our swimming instructors conducting private swimming lessons. Postponement of classes, due to any other reasons, will need to be communicated to the coaches at least 1 day before the lesson. Replacement classes will be given in this scenario.
  • To be fair to the customers, likewise there will be no charges for lessons cancelled by the school due to public holidays or lessons cancelled by swimming instructor. Lessons will be rescheduled (no charges) or be sent a relief swimming instructor (normal charges). Replacement classes will not be needed in this scenario.
  • Private-Formed Group ONLY: Lessons will be forfeited for any individuals absence. Replacement classes will only be given for conditions like bad weather, pool closure or whole group agreed to cancel together.
  • Prior notice of 1 hour or 60 minutes in advance notice will have to be made known to the coach if suspected of raining or lightning risk, classes will be given a replacement notification ONLY in this scenario. Please refer to our swimming lessons details section above for more information.
  • All 4 lessons have to be conducted by the end of the month or 35 days starting from every 1st of the month for replacement classes given due to bad weather and pool closure, should there be a failure to find suitable dates for replacement prior or upon the expiry, no refund shall be given.
