Sengkang swimming complex is a public pool managed by Sports Singapore.
It was previously known as Anchorvale Swimming Complex before renovation. The complex is a must-go with often crowded swimming pools in the north-east region.
Not many people outside this area will be aware of the many fantastic pools inside the swimming complex that provide equal or almost surpassing facilities with the Jurong East Swimming Complex and Jurong West Swimming Complex.
North-Siders and foreigners alike will find this pool amazing for recreation, serious swimming, and swimming lessons.
As of 2018, there is no Punggol swimming complex yet, so most of the Punggol residents will use the swimming complex for swimming-related activities.
Sengkang Hockey Stadium is also located beside the pools. There are currently 8 water slides in the swimming complex to keep you thrilled for the whole of the afternoon. All age ranges from kids to adults will love and have fun with the slides.
This newly renovated swimming pool also has a pool area that contains a giant bucket that tips a tsunami of water every few minutes to soothe your stress away.
For those serious swimmers or training for swimming competitions. The complex itself has two Olympic-sized swimming pools to help you with your daily swims.
Swimming is an activity that leads to better health and maintaining an active lifestyle.
Participating in aerobic activity such as swimming for two hours and 30 minutes a week has been shown to decrease many risk factors for cardiovascular diseases.
