Bedok
Bedok is a mature residential town and planning area in Singapore’s East Region. With a land area of approximately 21.69 km2, Bedok ranks seventh, first, and seventh in size, population, and density. Bedok New Town is the fifth new town built by the Housing and Development Board (HDB); construction began in April 1973 and lasted 15 years.
The planning area, an urban planning zone under the Urban Redevelopment Authority, includes Bedok New Town, the low-rise private residential areas along Upper East Coast Road and in the districts of Kembangan, Siglap, and Telok Kurau, as well as the high-rise private condominium developments on Marine Parade’s eastern end.
Bedok is in the southeast corner of Singapore’s east region. It is made up of 8 subzones: Bayshore, Bedok North, Bedok Reservoir, Bedok South, Frankel, Kaki Bukit, Kembangan, and Siglap. It is surrounded by Paya Lebar to the north, Hougang to the northwest, Tampines to the northeast and east, Geylang to the west, and Marine Parade to the southwest.
Heartbeat @ Bedok Swimming Complex
Heartbeat@Bedok is the new name for the Bedok Swimming Complex. It’s been renamed and remodeled. The old one was located next to the Bedok community center before it was relocated.
The Heartbeat@ Bedok swimming complex was the first of its kind when it first opened in 1981.
Bedok, with a population of around 289,000, is an extensive planning and population area in the country’s east. As of 2019, it has been designated as a mature residential town.
Bedok is one of Singapore’s oldest public swimming pools. It was recently refurbished and added to Heartbeat@Bedok.
Before the renovation, the pools were located near Bedok South Road and Upper Changi. Bedok residents and students visit the swimming complex to swim for recreation, to learn how to swim, and to take swimming lessons.
The old Bedok pool also had water polo games, a swim meet, and swimming competitions between the various teams.
Heartbeat Bedok Swimming Pool
Heartbeat @ Bedok Pool was designed with greenery as a central theme. It was a good idea to include greenery because it helps to cool the building while also saving energy.
It has many environmentally friendly features, such as a design that allows solar energy to enter the building. In addition, the entire infrastructure was transformed from an old skate park to a single structure that could be used for various purposes.
This new change was intended to help bring various services under one roof, making it easier for people of all ages to live in one location.
It was officially inaugurated in 2017. Everyone who needs to learn new things can go to this hub. It will offer handicrafts, swimming lessons, yoga classes, group pilates workouts, etc.
Using LED lights that consume less energy is also a good idea. Furthermore, many recreational activities are available to you at Heartbeat @ Bedok, which has a variety of activities.

Things To Do After Swimming
After working out, there are numerous places where people can get a bite to eat. The complex will include Burger King, Long John Silvers, and Sushi Express, among other restaurants.
Sports Singapore currently manages the Bedok sports facility, which can accommodate eight badminton courts.
Heartbeat @ Bedok has one indoor pool where you can train all day, regardless of the weather, for people who want to swim at any time.
The teaching pool is determined by the number of swimming lessons and practices scheduled each day.
An Olympic-sized outdoor swimming pool is located in the opposite corner of the complex. People who enjoy the sun and want to get a good tan can do so.
Bedok Sports Hub is the place to go for fun and to meet your daily exercise goals.
Formal swimming lessons can reduce the risk of drowning by up to 88% in children aged 1 to 4.
